Exposure  Short Biographical Play

In “Exposure,” Antony and his wife Suzanna discover the hidden past of his recently deceased mother, Lee Miller. While clearing her home, they uncover that Lee wasn’t just the alcoholic, cooking-obsessed woman who raised him, but had been a Vogue model and a pioneering war photographer who documented the liberation of concentration camps. Through photographs, journals, and a final letter, Antony learns that his mother’s emotional distance stemmed from childhood trauma and PTSD from witnessing war atrocities. The play, observed by Lee’s ghost, culminates with Antony resolving to develop her remaining film and tell her remarkable story.
